The CHV and the Mohammed V Military Teaching Hospital sign a groundbreaking cooperation agreement in the field of robot-assisted surgery

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting medical excellence and technological innovation, leveraging the recognized expertise of the Valenciennes Hospital Center in robot-assisted surgery. It will notably facilitate the organization of regular missions to Morocco and France, as well as the development of programs. Two main pillars structure this cooperation:

• Exchange of surgical expertise: Teams from the Valenciennes Hospital Center – surgeons, surgical technicians, anesthesiologists, etc. – will regularly work alongside the HMIMV teams to share their protocols, techniques, and expertise in robotic surgery. They will participate in organizing surgical missions to support the HMIMV teams during certain surgical procedures.

• Continuing education: Practical training, workshops, and seminars will be organized to enhance the skills of surgeons and paramedical teams through cross-disciplinary collaboration. A personalized mentoring program and immersion periods are also planned, providing access to the facilities, equipment, and expertise of the teams at the Valenciennes Hospital Center.

The teams at both institutions are delighted to see this partnership come to fruition and to see the opportunity it offers to share their expertise in robotic surgery. This new collaboration will also be an additional asset for supporting research projects and the development of the institution’s teaching activities.
