Remote monitoring: Masimo takes up the challenge of secure "outside the walls" tracking

French version [custom-html] ### English Version Proven Technology for Home Telemonitoring To demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach, a study published in The Lancet Regional Health – Europe, conducted in collaboration with the Gustave Roussy Institute, evaluated a telemonitoring program for cancer patients. #### Study Results: * 94.6% of alerts concerning serious symptoms led to a significant improvement in the patients’ health two weeks after they were triggered. * 88.4% of patients experienced a positive change in their symptoms. * 87% of healthcare professionals reported being satisfied with the integration of this solution into their organization. A Structured Medical Protocol: The Key to Success For the technology to be effective, it must be based on a clear and transparent medical protocol. “The key lies in defining a clear medical protocol that answers patients’ fundamental questions.” By precisely establishing the monitoring methods and procedures to follow in case of an alert, the patient can freely give their consent, having all the necessary information at their disposal,” explains Stéphane Bertolino. *** ### Reliable monitoring, even remotely The protocol guarantees continuous, high-quality, and secure monitoring, equivalent to that of the hospital. The patient is thus in constant contact with a network of partners ready to intervene: * emergency numbers, * home nurses, * hospital remote monitoring platform. The patient’s data is: * transmitted in real time via Bluetooth to their phone, * accessible directly in a dedicated application, * sent continuously to the hospital’s Masimo SafetyNet clinical dashboard. Alerts (email/SMS) are automatically generated in case of an anomaly, allowing for rapid intervention by healthcare professionals. *** ### And in case of a network outage? Even in the event of a power outage, the system continues to function locally thanks to Bluetooth technology. The patient can continue to self-monitor while waiting for the connection to be restored, while being assisted by a nurse or contacting emergency services.
