BioSerenity: an innovative solution and services to improve access to electroencephalogram examinations

A comprehensive solution with integrated services for collecting, processing, and interpreting EEG recordings to enable remote diagnosis: this is the system offered by BioSerenity, a telehealth company specializing in the interpretation of electrophysiology examinations. The availability of EEG experts is indeed a critical issue. The average waiting time in France for a prolonged EEG examination varies between 3 and 6 months depending on the region. The Neuronaute, a connected device

Specifically, the solution includes medical devices and services.

On the device side, there’s a single-use headset equipped with electrodes: no cleaning or maintenance is required. Very lightweight, it allows for extended wear (up to 72 hours) without discomfort for the patient. It is easy to use, even in emergency situations. It only takes a few minutes to install, even for non-specialized teams.

Next, a connected EEG amplifier (called “Neuronaute”) allows data to be recorded online or offline. Very easy to use, mobile, and compact, it can be used in healthcare facilities or directly in patients’ homes. Data transfer is handled via the BioSerenity cloud, which is HDS certified and GDPR compliant.

Finally, the BioSerenity Connect platform allows for real-time and continuous data downloads. This data is accessible via a secure network.

As for the range of services offered, it is particularly comprehensive. First, remote diagnosis: 30 expert neurologists, part of BioSerenity’s Neurophy network, can interpret EEG tracings 24/7. The result is an ultra-fast turnaround: the report is available in less than 3 hours—or even less than an hour in emergencies.

These specialists can also organize full-day sessions at a facility or provide training, setting up the equipment if needed.

That’s not all: BioSerenity can also perform long-term video EEG (VLD). Some patients require extended examinations lasting several hours or even several days. In these cases, the company provides a home-based solution with a small video unit mounted on a tripod and connected to the Neuronaute. The entire process is monitored by nurses and experts, with additional support from AI.
