Highlighting the territorial networks of medicine

_Founded In 2020, the startup Conex Santé entered the new but now competitive field of telemedicine and digital healthcare pathways.
ONE GOAL: TO MAKE LIFE EASIER FOR PRACTITIONERS BY SAVING THEM MEDICAL TIME
Telemedicine, tele-expertise, teleconsultation, assisted teleconsultation, telecare, and telemedicine dedicated to oral health make up the range of services offered by this multi-purpose digital platform.
The tool is designed with two access methods: a web application and a native application for iOS and Android smartphones. Conex Santé offers to coordinate and facilitate networks of healthcare professionals synchronously or asynchronously, immediately or by scheduling.
“The goal is to deploy a comprehensive platform that simplifies the daily work of healthcare professionals. Our vision is to address the multitude of stakeholders and therefore tools. We often talk about teleconsultations, which leads to oversimplifications regarding telemedicine and other functionalities,” explains Stéphane Konkuyt, Director of Operations at Conex Santé.
For healthcare professionals, the platform is open to general practitioners and specialists for patient follow-up, as well as pharmacists, physiotherapists, and nurses to improve the coordination of multidisciplinary care. Other professions will be added to further enhance the platform’s range of services for even greater efficiency and knowledge sharing.
By leveraging connectivity and focusing on organizational flexibility, Conex Santé uses the STR 1-2-3 model to provide patients with the most accurate diagnosis possible, while respecting geographical constraints. Conex Santé focuses on proximity, developing your local network through specialized care teams to ensure rapid responses.
A NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR INDEPENDENT NURSES, AT THE HEART OF THE PATIENT CARE LINE
With its well-established focus on local care, the launch of a tele-expertise platform for nurses presents a real opportunity to respond to and support their patients by providing remote medical advice.
Even more importantly, Conex Santé incorporates assisted teleconsultation to improve efficiency and responsiveness at the patient’s bedside.
“To alleviate congestion in waiting rooms and expedite diagnoses, this system eliminates the need for patients and doctors to travel to patients’ homes,” explains Auréliane Avignon, Project Manager at Conex Santé.
SAVING EVERYONE TIME
To share a proven track record, Professor Bremond-Gignac highlights the platform’s benefits. “Overall, I find the tool very intuitive. It’s essential that I can respond to or contact all my colleagues.”
Beyond his own experience, Professor Bremond-Gignac recounts a practical case: the treatment of a 4-month-old child with a white spot in their eye. The initial diagnosis points to a congenital cataract and notes a delay in the child’s motor development.
With the platform, the initial diagnostic team can request a tele-expertise consultation from Professor Bremond-Gignac. A consultation is scheduled, with an operating room booked for an emergency slot, to treat the cataract as quickly as possible to prevent further complications.
This process was validated within 72 hours, whereas untracked and unsecured activity (via mail) often results in a delay of nearly a month.
FOSTERING LOCAL NETWORKS
Conex Santé leverages local momentum and a community-focused approach to support its member healthcare professionals.
“The goal is to get a response from a local healthcare professional. Currently, it makes no sense for a general practitioner in Marseille to request a response from a specialist in Lille, except in the case of a highly specialized expert,” explains Auréliane Avignon.
With a regional and metropolitan focus, the startup’s vision is to build the tele-expertise of tomorrow, taking into account key patient criteria: speed and accessibility of healthcare professionals.
This also presents an opportunity for practitioners who may lack the time to build a network and a team of partners to support them in the analysis and diagnosis of client cases.

AN AMBITION: TO COMBAT THE PROBLEM OF MEDICAL DESERTS AND LONG WAITING TIMES
With its location-based approach, Conex Santé is currently shared between urban and rural areas to create networks between healthcare professionals.
Professor Bremond-Gignac believes that “there is still a long way to go before this becomes a common practice. Some colleagues praise the platform’s benefits, while others, hesitant, still send me letters.”
Conex Santé aims to develop its platform to raise awareness of the benefits of asynchronous practices.
“The key is education and reassurance regarding security issues,” says Stéphane Konkuyt. “We are constantly evolving our practices and focusing on data security to ensure a seamless and reliable experience.”
By deploying telemedicine, the platform helps to reconnect healthcare providers and enhance their appeal through knowledge sharing. Conex Santé is thus positioning itself as a tool designed to minimize the problem of healthcare deserts.
In addition to its telemedicine functionalities, the platform will integrate Staff Conex – secure messaging – in the coming weeks!
