Santexpo 2025: Innovation in all its forms
Since 1966, and supported by the French Hospital Federation, SANTEXPO has been the leading French trade show for the healthcare sector. This year’s edition, taking place May 20-22, 2025, will highlight artificial intelligence and other topics that are more relevant than ever.
Artificial Intelligence at the Heart of SANTEXPO 2025 No one can deny the impact of artificial intelligence on our daily lives and in certain professions, for which collaboration with it is—and will continue to be—essential.
The healthcare sector is no exception. Among the major transformations impacting our healthcare system, this year’s SANTEXPO has given pride of place to innovation, one of its historical themes, and in particular to artificial intelligence. “It is the real focus of the show,” said Séverine Gobert, the new Director of SANTEXPO, regarding AI.
First, it represents the largest sector of the show, where numerous exhibitors will present their technologies, including AI, such as Dell Technologies, Docpilot, and Davizi. This year, artificial intelligence is also the subject of multiple presentations in the conference program: “Data Visualization and Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Research”; “AI & Collective Intelligence: When Data Reinvents the Patient Journey”; “Challenges and Successes of Scaling Up AI Projects in Healthcare.”
And the list goes on. Medical equipment, collaboration, diagnostics, planning, care coordination… it’s clear that AI is everywhere.
Current Topics Highlighted: SANTEXPO’s historical themes, such as innovation, are featured alongside current topics this year: the ecological transition, the aging population, and women’s health. Not that this last theme is new, but it would seem that progress in gender equality is also making its way in the healthcare sector, given the observation that women are still too often absent from major public health debates. And this theme was well received by everyone, explains Séverine Gobert.
This edition will therefore address diseases specific to women, such as endometriosis, and also the aging of women. Two major challenges of our century will also be highlighted at this 2025 edition: firstly, the aging population, with a particular focus on a healthcare and social services sector lagging behind in terms of innovation, and secondly, the ecological transition, in order to see how to adapt practices to reduce carbon footprints. Furthermore, SANTEXPO will, for the first time, conduct its carbon footprint assessment.
“Next year, we’d like to continue with the theme of women’s health, focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause—a subject that remains largely taboo.
We’ve also considered a theme on mental health,” Séverine tells us. Another highly topical theme. Nathalie Jarry, the event’s Communications Director, envisions even greater things: “We really want to take SANTEXPO even further than it is today.
Certainly, it’s the leading French-language event, but we’d like it to be the leading event on a European scale as well. We want SANTEXPO to be the place where discussions about the healthcare system of tomorrow begin.” A promising prospect for future editions.
